Jeff joined R5DC in the fall of 2023. He is a mobility manager, with a primary emphasis on transportation initiatives. Jeff's goal is to work with public, private, and non-profit transportation providers to increase access to, and reduce gaps in, the transportation options for individuals within the region, through the Region 5 Regional Transportation Coordinating Council.
Though originally from Minnesota, Jeff has lived all over the nation. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of active duty service; first as an Air Force Survival Instructor, then for sixteen years as a Judge Advocate Attorney. Jeff also served as a police officer with the City of Charleston, S.C., and as a federal law enforcement officer with the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations while in the Air Force Reserves.
Jeff has a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Bemidji State University, a J.D. from William Mitchell Law, and an LL.M. in Military/International Law from The U.S. Army Judge Advocate Generals Legal Center and School in Charlottesville, VA.
